FINCANTIERI choose SPEICH windscreen wipers type PG.3F for NVC ship Kronprins Haakon

 

The Norwegian Institute of Marine Research has ordered the ship based on the Rolls-Royce NVC project, with the detailed design of Fincantieri. The ship will be named “Kronprins Haakon“, in honor of the heir to the Norway throne, and it is a “high-technological ship” designed to operate under the most hostile environments: it is better equipped to perform activities research such as the fish population monitoring, metrological studies, sampling and mapping of the seabed.

The tender for the windscreen wiper, windows washing and windows heating management supply was win by Speich. For this supply of more than 100 wipers on four bridges, Speich has designed a new high-tech product, the straight-line wiper PG.3F that will become one of the top products in its class. In fact the wiper PG.3F, ABS type approved, is designed for high operating loads cycle, to be controlled by the latest distributed control system generation (SPEICH DCS).

Noryards AS has signing a new shipbuilding contract with the Norwegian ship-owner and operator BOA for an eco-friendly Inspection Maintenance and Repair (IMR) Vessel. The new-building will be one of the most energy-efficient vessel of its class, utilizing a number of features that contribute to optimal operational performance, low emissions and reduced fuel consumption.

Noryards has chosen Speich for windscreen wiper system supply: another confirmation of the high quality and reliability of our professional systems able to operate in various marine conditions.

Speich S.r.l. will supply Ulstein Verft for build two offshore wind service vessels

 

Norwegian shipbuilder Ulstein Verft has secured an order from Germany-based Bernhard Schulte to build two service operation vessels (SOVs) for Windea. These vessels will be the first in the Ulstein SX175 design for the offshore wind industry and will feature the new X-STERN hull line design, as well as the proven X-BOW®, developed by Ulstein Design & Solutions. The SOV will be capable of operating with stern or front towards wind, waves and current, increasing the operational window. It will be able to house 60 people in single cabins. Around 40 of the cabins will be dedicated to technicians servicing wind turbines. Ulstein Verft has once again preferred Speich systems that will provide the straight line wiper type PG-EXT. These wipers are suitable to operate in extreme marine conditions and they allow maximum comfort to the staff of the dashboard thanks to DCS control system that synchronizes the movement of the wipers.
